5 Tips for Healthy Young Looking Skin

Mr Bean body scrub is the perfect to assist with our 5 tips for younger looking skin.

  1. Exfoliation

If you exfoliate regularly, you remove the dead skin cells to reveal the newer cells beneath, giving you a fresh and revitalised complexion. Exfoliating also assists with cell turnover, which decreases as we age.

  1. Hydration

As we age, our skin becomes drier and the collagen and elastin production slows down, causing the skin to wrinkle and sag. The sebaceous (oil) glands produce less oil and become enlarged and the sudiferous (sweat) glands decrease.

  1. Eye Care

The delicate skin surrounding the eyes is the first area to show visible signs of aging, as it contains very few sebaceous (oil) glands, unlike the rest of the face. Use products that are specifically designed to hydrate this area such as Mukti Organics Rosehip Eye Gel for tired, puffy eyes that need soothing and calming, or the Age Defence Eye Serum for fine lines, crow’s feet and skin that is dehydrated.

  1. Nocturnal Care

Instead of a heavy moisturiser, use a plant-based oil or a serum that will allow the skin to re-balance itself as it enters its replenishing and healing stage when you sleep.

  1. Antioxidants

These assist with preventing oxidation of nutrients and counter the effect of free radicals (unstable molecules that are created through environmental exposure) that break down the collagen and elastin in the body and cause premature aging.
